Abstract
Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome that can cause intermittent claudication or even critical ischemia of the lower leg is a rare disease that usually affects young men. Recently, we experienced a case of popliteal artery entrapment syndrome.
The
patient was 38 years old man and had suffered from intermittent claudication of right leg for about 4 years. We made the diagnosis with the results of stress segmental limb pressure test and MRI of the knee. We did myotomy of the medial head of
gastrocenmius muscle and angioplasty of popliteal artery using saphenous vein patch graft after thrombectomy. Postoperative course was uneventful.
